If the Mcanns were Black or Asian no one would care.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
I'm over 30 and I have no idea what has happened here, but in my book two parents that leave three children under the age of four, unattended in a villa, in a foreign country, while they go and have a meal and drinks with friends, are both Cunts!

Or is it just me?

They're guilty of child abuse. Where's the conspiracy?

Jim79 12:17 Thu Mar 21
Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
im 40 and have 4 daughters. They left their kids unattended to eat and drink and as a result they now have 2 kids instead of 3. That is neglectful, hardly being judgemental and you don't need to know them to see this is a fact and they are responsible in part for allowing harm to come to their daughter. Ok Gerry.

This.

I have little doubt that the McCanns and co. were economical with the truth, but that was far more likely around the perception of how frequently they checked on their children, as opposed to being part of some conspiracy to cover up her death.

There is no feasible way they could have done what is claimed by some. I'd happily be persuaded otherwise but it would require a thesis that isn't totally preposterous.

Jim79 11:41 Thu Mar 21

and on that you will get absolutely no complaints from me mate.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
Just saw the episode where it was mentioned that some shady characters were operating in the area in the week leading up to the disappearance who were posing as charity workers for a local orphanage (there wasn't one) one of whom scarpered after having walked into a villa and had been discovered in same room as a 3 year old kid who lived there.

Surely this gives the peado gang theory some weight?

very well put, and the only sensible rationale post. Honestly some of the fucking conspiracy crap that i'm reading on this thread is laughable. FFS have a word with yourself

Their social standing has nothing to do with it, other than favourible media coverage.

Jim79 11:01 Thu Mar 21
Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
Chill, have you watched the doc? The case was so high profile Brown, Cameron were almost obligued to make statements and to a minor degree get involved. The Portuguese police were leaking fake information to their press, as confirmed by their own press so of course there would be a retaliation from British press.

Please show me where Gerry and Kate are anything more than just a couple of Middle Class medical professionals because the sort of cover up at high levels you are suggesting would require someone to be considerably higher up in the socio-demographic for the british government to get involved in some sort of cover up hence the comment about them hardly being a Rothschild or member of the Illuminati. These are middle class people from middle England not a misbehaving royal member or lord.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
Sven - I don’t think anyone “shrugged it off”. DNA samples were taken from each location that the cadaver dogs indicated there was either blood, or the smell of a corpse. No blood was ever found, anywhere. And of the DNA swabs that were taken, none matched Maddie, and were generally found to contain the DNA of at least 3 people. There was a big song and dance that the DNA sample from the boot of the car matched 18 different markers to Maddies DNA profile. The fact is that those markers were incredibly common, and also matched the DNA profile of half the scientists in the lab that were doing the testing, not to mention the mum / dad, brother / sister etc. These were not unique to her in any way, despite what the police were telling reporters.

Cadaver dogs are obviously very very smart animals, but they aren’t ‘evidence’ per se. They are indicators, that detectives then dig deeper into.

And to be honest, a cadaver dog finding evidence of blood in a rented holiday villa and a rented car that has been accessed by thousands of different people over the previous decade is hardly evidence of an enormous coverup.

For me, the most alarming piece of the whole series was episode 5 when it spoke about the orphanage collector. The woman opened the door to him (a short distance from the Ocean Club) and she noticed he was constantly looking over her shoulder - she soon realised he was looking at her 3 year old daughter which freaked her out. The following day she was walking down the stairs in her apartment and the same bloke from the day before had managed to get into her living room and was walking towards her daughter. He quickly escaped when he saw her and was never seen again.

What’s more conceivable; the parents, despite having 40 years medical experience between them, accidentally killed their daughter by giving her an overdose of sleeping tablets hid the body in a country where temperatures reached 30degrees during the day, went for a meal that evening with friends, faked a kidnapping, spent 15 days being hounded every second of the day by reporters from all over the world yet still managed to somehow rent a new car, collect her decomposing body and move it to a new location that has remained a mystery for over a decade, whilst ensuring no one ever forgets about the search for their daugther despite this making it exponentially more likely that they will eventually be unmasked

Or; the bloke that broke into a villa a mile away the week before because he was obsessed with a 3 year old girl spotted Madi at the beach one day, staked out the families movements, realised they followed exactly the same pattern every night and took advantage of the 20 minute window when he knew he wouldn’t be disturbed.

I know which one is more likely.
